TasWater is seeking the services of an experienced engineering consultant to develop a system strategy to improve the operation of the Launceston Combined Drainage System. The strategy should contain a prioritised planned program of works to help remove / reduce the frequency, extent and impact of Combined Sewer Overflows (CSO).
The purpose of the consultancy is to develop a long-term strategy based on an understanding of the frequency, extent and environmental impact of CSO events on the health of the waterways. The strategy will discuss the current health of the impacted waterways and provide some detail about the environmental impact of CSO events and how the environmental impacts will be reduced due to completion of the prioritised planned program of works.
The consultancy will also involve identification and confirmation of the feasibility and constructability of possible capital works and/or operational improvements to improve the economic, environmental and social performance of the combined drainage system. These objectives will be delivered through the submission of relevant documentation and risk based cost estimates (to A± 30%).
