Tender Description

High Level Briefing Note for the ICN Portal – Cementing Centralisers

BP DAPL has been awarded four (4) exploration permits in the Ceduna basin, in the Great Australian Bight (GAB). The “GAB Drilling Project” program is to drill 4 exploration wells, in this remote location, with the blocks being approximately 400 km west of Port Lincoln and 300 km southwest of Ceduna in South Australia. Drilling of the first 2 wells is scheduled to commence in 4th quarter 2016, followed by a technical review before drilling the additional 2 wells.

There is a requirement for the supply in the form of cementing centralisers and the associated modelling. This contract shall include;

* Centralisation modelling,
* Slip on bow spring centralisers,
* Centraliser subs,
* Stop collars, and
* Transportation (to the Port Adelaide supply base).

All products shall meet API specification 10-D. Centraliser sizes shall be provided as part of the overall RFP package, but in general are believed to be for base pipe sizes; 36”, 28”, 22”, 18”, 16”, 13-3/8”, 11-7/8” and 9-5/8”.

The vendor should have experience with drilling cement centralisers, computational modelling of centralisation, drag and restoring forces. It is likely high quality products (likely single body, slip-on centralisers and centraliser subs) will be required. Metallurgy of subs will be required to meet API casing grades Q125 or P110.

The finalised quantities of centralisers are yet to be defined however initial order will be for primary and contingency casing/liners for the first 2 exploration wells.
