Tender Description
This contract is for the design and reconstruction of a precast concrete bridge over the Jordan River at Sydney Cottage, Elderslie.
The existing bridge was dismantled some two years ago when flood waters undermined the concrete abutments that were sitting on the earth embankment. The bridge has been temporarily replaced with a culvert just upstream of the bridge site.
The Contractor will design and reconstruct the bridge using existing bridge deck components and, if they can be effectively incorporated into the design, other components such as the cross head and gravel protection.
