Supply & Installation of Playground Equipment at Ford Park Merimbula and Bega Park Bega

⁠⁠⁠Bega Valley Shire Council (Council) is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced companies for the supply and installation of playground equipment at two parks in the Bega Valley; Ford Park, Merimbula and Bega Park, Bega.

Ford Park playground is an existing district playground located in a corner of Ford Park, a short distance from Main Beach, Merimbula. The site is relatively level and is complemented by the open space of Ford Park, with nearby car parking, public toilets, showers and a cafe. The existing playground and play equipment is at the end of its life, with several items having already been removed. It is council's intention to create a regional standard, inclusive playground at Ford Park that can be enjoyed by all children, but particularly those with special needs.

Bega Park playground is an existing neighbourhood playground located on the corner of Upper St and Parker St, Bega. The site is gently sloping, falling from south-west to north-east, located adjacent to the Bega swimming pool and Bega Showground. The park is dominated by a number of large established trees that create the atmosphere and ambiance that exists within the park. A substantial element of the play equipment was at the end of its life, has been removed and requires renewal.
