Reformation of North Sydney Council's Design Excellence Panel

⁠⁠⁠North Sydney Council encourages high quality urban design in the North Sydney local government area. Expressions of interest are sought for membership on the Design Excellence Panel for a two-year period commencing in July 2015.

DESIGN EXCELLENCE PANEL

The Design Excellence Panel builds an ongoing and robust dialogue between design professionals to achieve the best possible built form outcomes for North Sydney. The Panel's advice is generally sought on major development applications in the North Sydney CBD and major centres, but may also be sought during the early conceptual stages of a design.

This year, the Panel's role is being expanded to provide a greater level of input at a strategic level to guide major urban renewal projects in St Leonards.

The Design Excellence Panel is an advisory body made up of highly experienced architecture, urban design and planning professionals. A community representative with similar understanding or experience is also being sought for membership to the Panel.

Members will be remunerated for appointment to the Design Excellence Panel and meeting attendance. Meetings are convened as required (estimated 10 meetings per year). Terms and conditions are outlined in the draft Design Excellence Panel Charter 2015/17.
