Careel Bay Zone Substation 11 kV Switchgear Repalcement

⁠⁠⁠Ausgrid requires the contracted services of a company capable of providing civil and building services associated with the Careel Bay Zone Substation infrastructure upgrade.

The scope of the required works broadly includes:
1. Demolition works - demolition of brick walls, pit walls, floor slab, etc.
2. Civil and building works - grout injection, concrete coring, bell-mouth conduit installation, extension to concrete cable pit, structural steelwork strengthening, new fire door and frame, dowels, install new ceiling, steelwork for cable trays, concrete pad footing, cable pit steel work and chequer plates, signages, etc.

The scope of the work for this Request for Tenders is more fully detailed in the Part A Specification.

A mandatory pre-tender meeting will be held on site at Careel Bay Zone Substation, 787 Barrenjoey Road, Avalon Beach, NSW, at 10.30 am on Tuesday 2 June 2015. All prospective respondents must attend this meeting.

A maximum of two representatives from each company can be accommodated and prospective respondents must register their intention to attend the pre-tender meeting by email correspondence to Benjamin Teh (ben.teh@ausgrid.com.au) no later than two working days before the meeting.

All personnel attending the site must as a minimum be wearing long sleeves, long pants, safety footwear, a high visibility vest, safety eyewear, a safety helmet and must have gloves on their person.

Respondents must satisfy the following mandatory criteria:
- attendance at the pre-tender meeting and site assessment
- submission of completed Part D Schedules
- Relevant experience performing construction works within live high voltage electrical substations and/or immediately adjacent to live high voltage electrical infrastructure
- Management systems third party certified to:
Quality System AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008
Safety Management System AS 4801:2001
Environmental Management System AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004.
