NSW Office of Sport, Sport and Recreation manage the Sydney International Equestrian Centre, located at Horsley Park, NSW. The Office seeks Tender responses from professional, reliable and punctual supplier who can produce, supply and deliver stable bedding at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre.
The Sydney International Equestrian Centre requires that each stable has suitable stable bedding material under the NSW Animal Welfare Code as part of stable occupancy. The stable bedding is used as a soft cushioned material for the horse making it comfortable against the concrete floors when stables are occupied.
Wood shavings have been the preferred material used as it acts as an effective absorbent material for urine/manure enabling it to be easily removed, it also eliminates staining of the concrete floor and mitigates equine associated health and hygiene issues. Wood shavings are also economically advantageous as they are recyclable as a compost product.
