Gympie Region Pensioner Units Management

⁠⁠⁠Gympie Regional Council (Council) is seeking expressions of interest from organisations registered under the National Regulatory System for Community Housing (NRSCH) for the management of council’s portfolio of ‘Pensioner Units,’ effective from July 2015.

Council has freehold title over 7 blocks of one bedroom units, totalling 32 individual units. These units have traditionally been utilised as low cost housing for aged pensioners with rental being set in accordance with state government guidelines for community housing.

Council recognises that an improved community housing service may be offered if the units were managed by a suitable community housing provider in accordance with the NRSCH guidelines.

Note: The EOI is not considered a tender for services however under Section 228(6) of the Local Government Regulation 2012, Council may prepare a shortlist from persons who responded to the invitation to submit an EOI, and invite written tenders from those persons.
