The Waste Transfer Station (WTS) is located at 79 Range Road, Capel. It was opened in 2011, replacing the landfill operation previously carried out at the site. The WTS accepts waste from residents of the Shire of Capel. Currently, the waste is collected by various contractors and disposed of to landfill or recycling facilities. The Shire manages and staffs the WTS and holds a license for the facility with the WA Department of Environmental Regulation. The WTS is open from 9.30am to 5pm on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday each week.
