Bega Council Regional Sporting Facilities - Master Planning

⁠⁠⁠Bega Shire is located on the far south coast of NSW and has a population of approximately 34,000 people. The Shire covers a large area of over 6,670 square km. The size of the shire and wide distribution of population raises some challenges for Council and the community. Despite these challenges Council is committed to providing a wide range of good quality recreation facilities for its residents and visitors.

The purpose of this project is to develop Master Plan documents for the two identified regional sportsgrounds located in Bega and Pambula Beach. It has been decided to look to undertake master planning for both the regional sites concurrently. This is so the roles and uses of the two sites can be discussed and defined so they complement each other; rather than there potentially being a duplication of similar facilities.

These Master Plan documents will guide the future use and development of regional sporting facilities in the Shire to meet the current and identified future needs of the community.
