UNSW Australia is requesting tenders from suitably qualified and experienced organisations for the supply of Actuators, Controller and Hydraulic Power Supply for earthquake simulation.
UNSW is about to install Australia's most advanced earthquake shaking table. It will simulate earthquakes and enable controlled testing of three-tonne models of foundation and soil structure interaction systems typical of Australian infrastructure. The facility will adopt a novel design and use just two actuators to simultaneously shake in one horizontal direction and vertically.
The project site is located in the UNSW campus at Kensington at the edge of the Sydney Central Business District (CBD).
The RFT closes at 5:30pm (Sydney time) on Tuesday 31 March 2015 and submissions must be fully received by this time.
