Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Fairfield City Council has a total of 1000ha in parks and reserves. This contains 11 named creeks that extend over 60 km. Nearly 210 ha of the riparian corridor of the urban creeks are under Council management, representing approximately one third of all vegetated areas within the urban area.

Within these areas Fairfield City Council has 27 species are listed under the Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995, 16 species under the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 2001 and 10 Endangered Ecological Communities listed under both acts, including the Cumberland Plains Woodland.

Fairfield City Council is responsible for delivering programs in Creek care, Stormwater maintenance and bush regeneration's as well as administering grants that they are successful in obtaining.

Aims of Bush Regeneration are:
* To create an environment where native plants are able to recolonise degraded/cleared areas
* To restore degraded areas, to viable, manageable ecosystems
* To preserve and enhance local and regional biodiversity
* To enhance and extend habitat for native fauna
* To meet the relevant statutory requirements

This will be delivered by producing panel lists for the following activities · within Bush Regeneration:
* Bush regeneration activities
* Planting and mulching
* Broad acre spraying
* Stormwater maintenance
* Volunteer Supervision
* Seed Collecting

The contractor will required to attend a site meeting for each site they are awarded and provide the following for each of these sites:

Scope of works prior to starting work including a proposed yearly works schedule
* Weekly work schedules
* Reporting monthly and yearly
* Site monitoring

The contractor will have a yearly review undertaken on their work performance on a site by site basis. The contractor must maintain a high standard of bush regeneration principles on the site. To maintain site safety, site hygiene and prevent erosion occurring on site
