Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Background/Understanding

The Southern Region Waste Resource Authority (SRWRA) which is a regional subsidiary established under the Local Government Act by the cities of Holdfast Bay, Marion and Onkaparinga is in joint venture with Integrated Waste Services (IWS) for the continual development of recycling services.

The joint venture has attained development approval for a new ‘Southern Recycling Centre’ on the SRWRA site at Seaford Heights. The new Recycling Depot would initially comprise the recycling of commercial, industrial and domestic waste.

Subject Site

The subject land is located in the ‘Waste Management Zone’ (WMZ) and the ’Urban Zone’ (UZ) of the Onkaparinga Council and SRWRA owns the land.

The construct team will need to integrate with the SRWRA operational team who will be functioning throughout the construction period.

Project Scope

The scope of the proposed development would include the following elements (please also refer to the attached site plans Figures 1 & 2 which contain all basic details for the relevant infrastructure required):

* A new entrance driveway from Bakewell Drive, sealed with a dual weighbridge (one additional weigh cell to be constructed only)
* Renovations to the existing weighbridge office inclusive but not limited to tiling, rendering, window and door installations
* All earthworks supervision as per design requirements including batter construction for the location of the depot
* A fully enclosed recycling depot (Shed 1 only)
* All services including electrical, water, septic, fire, and storm water
