The City is seeking initial expressions of interest (EOI) from independent parties suitably experienced within the golfing industry to investigate and report on current operating models for golf courses within Australia, especially those in municipal hands.
The City requires this report to undertake a comprehensive review of the management and operations of its two public golf courses being Carramar and Marangaroo Golf Courses.
Carramar Golf Course was developed in 1994 and is located on 67 hectares of land within the suburb of Carramar and Marangaroo Golf Course was developed in 1988 and is located on 60 hectares of land within the suburb of Marangaroo. Both courses comprise of 18 holes and driving range. An external lease (via formal contract until 2017) is currently in place for both pro shops and Course Controller functions. Ground maintenance of both courses is also under contract until June 2015.
This EOI is potentially a two stage process, with Stage 1 seeking general expressions of interest demonstrating previous experience in similar investigations within the golfing industry in Australia. Following the evaluation of Stage 1 submissions, suitable applicants may be invited to submit detailed formal proposals for Stage 2, for the appointment of a Consultant to investigate and rank operating models of golf course within Australia.
