Tender Description
The Department of Transport and Main Roads invites offers for the provision of disposal of written off TMR bridge timber.
The Bridge Timber has been is located in our storage timber yard and is in varying conditions. The purchase of the timber is based on “as is where is. Some of the timber has been treated and is therefore not suitable for burning and/or chipping.
The opportunity will be presented to potential offerors to inspect the timber during a compulsory inspection. The following is the timeline for the tender:
12-13 March 2015 Timber Inspection at 205 Malar Road, Hillsdale (15 minutes from Kingaroy township)
20 March 2015 Tender Close
27 March 2015 Successful Offer Notification
30 April 2015 Timber Pickup Date
The written off timber is made up of approximately 70 girders, 25 headstocks, 5 kerbs, 11 piles, 14 skids and 5 wales. The written off timber is placed into stacks of varying sizes and quantities. The stacks cannot be split and stock cannot be moved from one stack to the other. As such offerors are to bid for all stock or a number of individual stacks, which they may choose, but which will not be split up or swapped out with other stacks.
Quality of timber varies and is for sale “As is where is”. TMR will not make any further alterations to timber stock.
