Tender Description
The Department of Defence requires the services of suitably trained and experienced personnel or an engineering firm to develop Hazardous Area classifications following a survey for Hazardous Areas (explosive atmospheres) at Larrakeyah Barracks, HMAS Coonawarra, Defence Establishment Berrimah and Humpty Doo Transmitter Station. This is the first stage of the rectification process, with subsequent rectification actions (such as electrical equipment inspection, maintenance, replacement etc.) dependent on the classification.
The classification of each Hazardous Area will include reference to a specific occupancy classification in accordance with AS/NZS 60079. As a minimum, the classification shall be inclusive of a report, classification datasheet and CAD drawings illustrating the extent of the Hazardous Area zones.
