Geothermal Bores

⁠⁠⁠The works to be completed under the proposed Contract comprise the drilling and construction of geothermal production and injection bores, both of which will be screened within the Yarragadee Formation at Cockburn Central West.

The Works shall include, but are not limited to:

(a) Setting-up of a mud-rotary drilling rig for the drilling and construction of the production and injection bores.
(b) Provision of all the drilling fluids and additives to complete the works, including full services by a Drilling Fluid Engineer.
(c) Drilling and construction of the bores to the depths determined by the Superintendent's Representative during drilling operations.
(d) Hole preparation for geophysical surveys.
(e) Potentially formation and hydraulic testing, using inflatable packers in the geothermal pilot hole.
(f) Development of the bores using jetting, air-lifting and surging methods.
(g) Pumping and injection (aquifer) testing of the completed production and injection bores.

A full statement of the works required under the proposed Contract appears in the Specification-Part 2 and Preliminaries. Conceptual bore designs are provided in the drawings contained within the Specifications.
