Tender Description
The scope of this package includes, but not limited to the manufacture and delivery to site of conveyor belting, (including all quality control, project management and provision of all required documentation) as described below:
The new conveyors use 2,200mm wide belting for the in-loading conveyors rated at 9,000tph, 2,400mm wide belting for the out-loading conveyors rated at 10,000tph and 3200mm for the belt feeders rated at 5,500tph.
Belting shall comply with the relevant Australian standards except where deviations may be specifically approved. Belting for conveyors shall be supplied in the longest lengths practical for transport.
Belting used in the main conveyors plant shall be steel cord type with grade M covers.
Cover thicknesses shall be selected to provide adequate life for the intended duty; however the minimum cover thickness shall be 5mm
The cover rubber properties shall be selected to provide suitable low rolling resistance, wear resistance, and adequate life in the site environment. The belting life shall be warranted by the supplier for long years. All belting to be delivered to Abbot Point.
A complete technical specification shall be issued in the subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
