Fairfield City is located 32 kilometres South-West of the Sydney Central Business District (CBD), covers an area of some 104 square kilometres, incorporating 27 suburbs and is bounded by the Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Penrith, Liverpool, Holroyd, Bankstown and Blacktown.
Fairfield City is home to approximately 187,000 people and is NSW's fourth most populous Local Government Area. Council is a body politic constituted under the Local Government Act 1993 with the general functions set out in the Local Government Act and is enable to enter into contracts and arrangements of the type contemplated in this Request for Tender (RFT).

Fairfield City Council is looking to engage appropriately qualified and experienced tenderers in any or all of the following work categories. The RFT proposes the establishment of the various panels for the provision of Trade and Services:
a) Carpenters/Joinery Cabinetmaking Services
b) Electrical Services
c) Plumbers and Gas Fitting Services
d) Metal Fabrication Services
e) Painting, Decorating Services
f) Plastering Services
g) Brick / Block laying Services
h) Roofing Services
i) Rendering Services
j) Tiling Services
k) Demolition & Asbestos Removal Services and
l) Fencing Services
