Tender Description
Tenders are invited from experienced civil engineering contractors for the construction of approximately 500 metres of shared pathway travelling from Charles Street in the west along the northern bank of the Parramatta River, under Macarthur Street to an existing path in Rangihou Reserve in the east. The project involves:
1. A new bridge over the Parramatta River.
2. Detailed excavation and shoring.
3. A pre-cast concrete elevated pathway with stainless steel balustrading founded on bored piers.
4. A lightweight metal framed elevated pathway, metal balustrading with fibre-reinforced plastic decking.
5. Concrete path on ground and concrete staircase.
6. Lighting.
7. Bush regeneration and other soft landscaping works.
8. Public Art
9. Ancillary works.
The Tender price is for a fixed lump sum.
A final decision will be made on this Tender at the end of April 2015. Works are anticipated to commence May 2015.
Note a pre-tender site meeting is compulsory for this project. Pre-tender site meetings will be held at 12:30pm on Monday 16th February 2015 and 2:30pm on Wednesday 18th February 2015.
