For the Supply of an Advanced Laser Additive Manufacturing (ALAM) System (for 3D Printing Metallic Complements)

⁠⁠⁠The University of Queensland’s Mechanical and Mining Engineering School wish to purchase an a advanced laser additive manufacturing (ALAM) (also called 3D printing) system that will significantly promote Australia’s research capacity in the areas of surface engineering, direct manufacturing and alloy development.

This proposed university facility will be used to conduct innovative research on surface engineering of metals, on additive manufacturing (3D printing) and to make breakthroughs in this area, and the development of new alloys through accelerate metallurgy approach.
