Value for money is a foundation principle that underpins Victorian Government procurement and is the optimum combination of quality, quantity, risk, timeliness and cost for government on a whole-of-life basis.

Contractors should be aware that the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry (Code), in conjunction with the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines for the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, May 2012 (Guidelines), applies to this project. Contractors should also be aware that the Victorian Government's Code of Practice for the Building and Construction Industry (Victorian Code) applies to this project.

They are to be interpreted so that they do not contravene the Code or the Guidelines. Copies of the Victorian Code are available at www.dtf.vic.gov.au Compliance with the Victorian Code are a prerequisite to submitting a tender response and to any successful applications being awarded.
