Prescribed School Service Contract_ Route P435_Ridgeland Area

⁠⁠⁠Offers are invited for the provision of a contracted school bus service for the transport of eligible students residing in the Ridgeland area to Ridgeland State School. This service is to be provided with a vehicle that is new or less than 5 years of age (as determined from the vehicle’s first registration date after it was newly manufactured).

The contract will be a Prescribed School Service Contract under the Transport Operations (Passenger Transport) Act 1994 (the Act) and will be between the service provider (the Operator) and the State of Queensland (acting through the Department of Transport and Main Roads).

The contract will be for a period of 5 years, subject to satisfactory performance. The contract may be renewed subject to section 62AC (Entitlement to satisfactorily performing existing operator under a service contract) of the Act.

Government funding will be provided to the operator of the service in accordance with the provisions of the School Transport Assistance Scheme relating to Capital Based Kilometric School Bus Services.
