Tender Description
As part of closure planning for Council landfills, and to maintain compliance with s42(3)(b) of Schedule 1 of the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997, Council intends, over time, to remove all waste tyres currently located at these facilities. Council currently has tyre stockpiles at 5 locations, although tyres from Nerriga will be transported to Braidwood and from Captains Flat to Bungendore by Council prior to collection by a contractor. Tyres located at the Bungendore landfill have been partially buried in some locations.
