The scope of the works includes the patching and structural relining of 573 metres of stormwater conduit and associated works including construction of 2 new junction pits.
Raffo Lane is located in between Wyuna Avenue and Wyndora Avenue in Freshwater. The stormwater line runs from Harbord Road down the length of Raffo Lane and into Jacka Park on the eastern side of Oliver Street Freshwater and its condition has deteriorated over its serviceable life.
Council intends to undertake major works to patch defects and reline this section of drainage infrastructure so as to repair and extend the serviceable life of the drainage line.
The works will cover the stormwater pipe relining and patching, pit construction and associated works, as follows:
Patch and repair defects and reline approximately 414 metres of T825 (prefix 'T' refers to 'Tonkin' pipe, which is a cast insitu pipe), 72 metres of concrete channel enclosed with curved reinforced concrete roof (tin visible in CCTV), 62 metres of T900. Relining of 27 metres of oviform pipe and relining of 13 metres of DN450 concrete pipe.
Two pipeline sectors, one across Oliver Street and the other across Wyndora Avenue, may not be suitable for relining and alternative prices for conventional open-cut pipe replacement are sought as part of this request. Construct 2 new junction pits.
Associated works including but not limited to repairs to conduits to allow pipes to be relined and repairs to defective pipes and joints, cleaning and removal of debris, removal of any edges likely to damage liners, filling voids, creating openings at existing inlets/pits and reinstatement of lateral connections.
