Design, Manufacture and Install Submarine Door and Associated Metal Work for Collinsville Low Lift Pump Station.
To improve operator access, a new water‐tight submarine door is to be installed at ground level near an existing surge control pressure vessel connected to the discharge of the pump station. Fitment of the water‐tight submarine door will require the cutting of a new entry hole into the existing dry well structure.
Additionally, part of the existing internal concrete floor will need to be removed to allow for the door itself, as well as new steel access platforms that are to be installed and an existing internal ladder that will need to be shortened. The edges of the concrete pad external to the pump station near the proposed location of the submarine door are un‐guarded and require the installation of handrails.
