Tender Description
TfNSW administers the Taxi Transport Subsidy Scheme (TTSS) and Wheelchair Accessible Taxi Driver Incentive Scheme (WATDIS). The schemes, when taken together, are designed to improve the mobility of NSW residents who are unable to use public transport because of a qualifying severe and permanent disability.
Both TTSS subsidies and WATDIS payments are currently provided via a paper docket system. The dockets are supplied to TTSS participants, and are redeemed in Taxis for subsidised travel. Redeemed dockets are provided to TfNSW’s authorised agent by the driver (via taxi networks) where they are assessed for completeness and eligibility. TfNSW’s authorised agent reimburses the taxi network on a regular schedule, who in turn reimburse the taxi operator/driver.
Transport NSW is looking to enhance the existing paper based TTSS and WATDIS with the implementation of an EPS to better support participants on the scheme.
