Tender Description

This is a Quality Assurance contract.

This project is funded by the State and Australian Goverments.

Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is inviting suitable organisations  to submit tenders for the duplication of the existing bridge over the Bemboka River and widening of the existing bridge to accommodate higher mass limit vehicles and to improve at the bridge and its approaches.

The project involves the construction of a 4 span bridge and the total span is 94 meters. The new bridge consists of reinforced concrete piers, abutments, Super-T system and pre-stressed concrete planks, and deck. The widening of the existing bridge will require hydro demolition of the cantilevered concrete edges and replacement with reinforced concrete. The Principal will be undertaking the roadwork approaches to the bridges.

This is a Schedule of Rates and Lump Sum QA Contract – Contract No. RMS.14.3558.0325

All tenderers must comply with the NSW Government Code of Practice for Procurement.

The Head Contractor must be prequalified at Bridgeworks Class B2 and Financial Level F5 or higher and must hold current accreditation under the NSW Government WHS Management System Guidelines for RMS work at the time of closing of this tender.

Attendance at the pre-tender meeting is mandatory in order to submit a conforming tender. A pre-tender meeting and a site inspection will be held at 10:00am on 28 November 2014 at RMS Bega office which is located at 153 Auckland Street Bega NSW 2550.

Tenderers shall confirm their attendance at the pre-tender meeting by 26 November 2014 to the email address Hariharan.BALASUBRAMANIAM@rms.nsw.gov.au with subject heading stating “Pre-Tender Meeting Attendance Confirmation – RMS.14.3558.0325”

Tender shall be submitted before 2.30pm (Sydney time) on Wednesday, 17 December 2014. Tenderers shall submit their tenders to E-tender website.
