Tender Description
The Australian Department of Social Services invites suitably qualified organisations to tender for the provision of the Regional Assessment Service (RAS). This service will provide a standardised process for assessing the care needs of older people.
The Government is establishing consistent assessment services for people seeking support through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme.
For the first time, home support assessments will be separate from service delivery, ensuring the focus is on individuals’ needs, goals and aspirations.
These changes will ensure that consistent, high quality assessment processes are used across 52 aged care planning regions in metropolitan, regional and remote locations across the country, excluding Victoria and Western Australia.
