The Lake Macquarie Yacht Club (LMYC) is seeking written expressions of interest to operate the catering services on the Club's premises in Ada Street, Belmont, overlooking beautiful Lake Macquarie. The Club is currently extending its marina, due for completion by September 2014, which will increase patronage to the LMYC. A professional catering operator is required to provide regular food and coffee services to Club members and guests in addition to functions such as weddings, birthdays, company presentations, and Christmas parties etc which are regularly held throughout the year.

The Restaurant has a designated seating capacity of 100-120, not to mention the additional non-designated seating throughout the Club that is traditionally used together with an undercover area adjacent to the marina for use on those sunny days. Our function areas within the Club include a Bridge Deck area with a capacity of 40, the Bayview area with a capacity of 60.

We also feature a Waterfront Marquee for functions for up to 120 guests. The kitchen is fully operational and fitted to enable the caterer to produce high quality food. All liquor beverages are supplied and sold through the Licensor.
The Licence will be a three (3) year term with a further three year option. Current annual turnover for the catering services is in excess of $1.12 million. The successful applicant will have a readymade business that is about to escalate in a magnificent setting in the heart of Lake Macquarie.

The restaurant/bistro is required to operate seven (7) days per week. Coffee and slices/snacks are to be provided continually from 10am with lunch from 11.30am to 3pm and dinner from 6pm to 9pm every day. Hot breakfast and coffee on Saturday and Sunday from 8am is to be available. A sample menu, together with seasonal variations and estimated pricing as well as sample function menus and pricing for formal 3 course meals and finger food functions should accompany your expression of interest. Each year, winter presentations and balls are organised by the Licensor and a negotiated menu for these functions is expected.

This is a walk-in situation and we ask that the expression of interest includes relevant experience and a list of referees. It is essential that a good working relationship exists between the Licensor and Licensee in jointly promoting this venue.
