Tender Details
Tender Description
Muresk Institute operates under management of the Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD) and seeks to increase the organisation’s profile and relevance to the agricultural industry through targeted farm and crop input management training and demonstration trials at the Muresk Institute farm.
The Institute wishes to establish research partnerships to encourage farmers, farming groups, educational institutions and non-agricultural participants to access the Institute as a source of their learning and development, while the Institute is profiled as an innovator in providing solutions, in cropping & pasture management.
The Institute is seeking Respondents to undertake cropping research and development alongside demonstration and extension programs which are designed to support higher education curriculum, short courses and field days. A number of replicated trials and demonstrations are to be established on the Muresk farm that will address many of the current production and profile issues facing the Australian agricultural industry.
The trials will be highly relevant, interactive and informative and will provide demonstration, training and education to a wide range of agricultural, non-agricultural and urban based groups from upper secondary school age through to tertiary students, teachers and a cross section of the wider community.
The field and laboratory based trial and demonstration program will provide Muresk with teaching, training and education infrastructure that will be delivered to a wide and diverse audience and will raise the profile of the Institute in its inaugural year of operation as a research facility under the management of DTWD.
