This Request for Tender is for the lease, management and operation of five Council-owned swimming pools for a period of up to 5 years.
The five Swimming Centres are:

* Stockton War Memorial Olympic Pool - Pitt Street, Stockton NSW 2295
* Mayfield Swimming Centre - Maitland Road, Mayfield NSW 2304
* Lambton Memorial Swimming Centre - Durham Road, Lambton NSW 2299
* Wallsend Memorial Olympic Swimming Centre - Francis Street, Wallsend 2287
* Beresfield Swimming Centre - Anderson Drive, Beresfield NSW 2322

Council is offering to lease out each of its Swimming Centres to the successful tenderer, on the condition that the Swimming Centres are operated in accordance with the Service Specification. This is the first time that the City of Newcastle has offered their five inland swimming centres for external management through a tender process. This presents a unique opportunity for an organisation to provide a fresh and innovative approach to diversify the services and programs currently offered by the centres.

Tenders are invited and will be received up to 2.00pm Tuesday 3 June 2014.

Responsibility for lodgement by the deadline lies solely with the tenderer. Lodgement information is provided in the tender document. Council is not bound to accept the lowest tender or any tender submitted.
