This Nimmie-Caira Aboriginal Cultural Heritage survey will document and interpret Aboriginal archaeological sites, artefacts and values of the Nimmie-Caira area to inform future land and water management arrangements in relation to the Nimmie-Caira System Enhanced Environmental Water Delivery Project.

This project will extend previous work undertaken in the Lowbidgee area to provide a more detailed overview of the archaeological sites and settlement patterns of the Nimmie-Caira area. The project will be undertaken with assistance from local Aboriginal groups, who will be taking part in the archaeological survey work and must be completed within a 9 month period (June 2014 – Feb 2015).
