Tender Description
Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are sought from suitably qualified organisations to assist the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) with its project to enhance performance and sustainability of Queensland councils.
This EOI process provides the opportunity for organisations to submit proposals detailing relevant experience, skills and capability statements from which a short list of organisations will be invited to submit detailed costed proposals.
The LGAQ has determined that there is a need to provide additional support to councils in implementing strategies to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness in meeting the needs of their communities while ensuring long term financial sustainability. LGAQ expects to implement a suite of project initiatives to motivate and support councils in driving positive institutional and cultural change.
This specific project is one element in this overall suite of initiatives. It is primarily focused on aggregating existing datasets and developing enhanced performance measurement, comparison and benchmarking tools, with a focus on supporting councils to manage and improve their performance.
LGAQ considers that, through greater awareness (by the community and councils) of performance trends, positive initiatives to drive change and enhance financial sustainability are more likely to occur.
