Mt Martha Anaerobic Digester Upgrade - Electrical Works

⁠⁠⁠The Mt Martha Water Recycling Plant, located on Craigie Road, Mt Martha, currently receives and treats wastewater from a customer base of approximately 72,000 people from the Mornington and Mt Martha areas.

The current anaerobic sludge digestion facility has been partially refurbished during the Mt Martha Digester Upgrade Phase 1 project and now requires further work to complete the refurbishment and improve the capacity and reliability of the sludge digestion process.

SEW have engaged SERWA to complete the refurbishment via the Mt Martha Digester Upgrade Phase 2 project and undertake works associated with the replacement of the existing gas pipework system and foam handing system; installation of new gas blowers and digester mixing systems; sludge co-thickening facilities, and ferric chloride storage and dosing facility.

The new facilities and modified pipework and equipment will be located adjacent to the existing Anaerobic Digesters and within an existing building.

Exact location and designs have been finalised and will be issued to the short listed tenderers as part of the tender documents.

New switchboards/PLC Cubicles and field wiring will be required for various equipment and the new systems being installed; pumps, dosing systems, mixers and booster blowers. Included in the works will be the field wiring to the numerous instruments forming part of the upgrade.
All switchboards/cubicles and instrumentation will be "Free Issued".

Mt Martha Water Recycling Plant is an existing operating facility under the direct management of South East Water. As such any interface with the operating plant including excavations is subject to approval and issue of "permit to work".
