Tender Description
This is a quality assurance contract.
Tenders are invited from contractors pre-qualified with Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) under the National Prequalification System for Civil (Road and Bridge) Construction Contracts at the prequalification Roadworks Class R4 and Financial Level F25, or higher, for the construction of Upgrade at Kelso from Ashworth Drive to Lee Street.
* The Asphalt Paving component of the work must be carried out by contractors pre-qualified with RMS at Class A2.
* The Concrete Paving component of the work must be carried out by contractors pre-qualified with RMS at Class K1 or higher.
* The Bridgeworks component of the work must be carried out by contractors pre-qualified with RMS at Class B3.
* The Pretensioned concrete component of the work must be carried out by contractors pre-qualified with RMS at Class C1 or higher.
The primary testing of the work (including sampling) must be carried out by contractors registered with RMS in Class L2.
The traffic control component of the work must be carried out by contractors registered with RMS at Category G.
Erosion, sedimentation and soil conservation consultancy services must be carried out by a contractor registered with RMS at Category'S.
Fabrication of minor steel items must be carried out by a contractor registered with the RMS at Category SM.
Stabilisation must be carried out by a contractor registered with RMS at Category Z1 or a contractor with demonstrated experience in stabilisation.
Electricity and street lighting installation and commissioning works must be carried out by a Level 1 Service Provider accredited through the scheme operated by NSW Department of Trade and Investment.
A pre-tender meeting and site inspection will be held at the Old Evans Shire Council Meeting Room, 7 Lee Street Kelso NSW at 10am on Wednesday 19 March 2014.
Attendance is mandatory in order to submit a conforming tender. Tenderers purchasing the documents will be advised of the full details of the meeting.
The NSW Government’s Code of Practice for the Building and Construction Industry (NSW Code) and the NSW Government’s Implementation Guidelines to the NSW Code of Practice for the Building and Construction Industry (NSW Guidelines) apply to this project. Compliance with the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines is a pre-requisite to submitting any response to a procurement process (expression of interest or tender response) and to any successful applications being awarded.
