The Department for Manufacturing, Innovation, Trade, Resources and Energy (DMITRE) Energy Markets and Programs Division’s RAES Program, (on behalf of the Minister for Mineral Resources and Energy) has responsibility for the operation and management of electricity infrastructure in 16 Remote Area Communities in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara(APY) lands (Amata, Iwantja, Kaljiti, Kalka, Kanpi, Mimili, Murputja, Nyapari, Pipalyatjara, Pukatja, Umuwa, Watarru, Watinuma and Yunyarinyi), Oak Valley (Maralinga Tjarutja) and Yalata (Aboriginal Lands Trust). The following information is provided for tenderers’ assistance:

* The RAES Program seeks tenders for the provision of Remote Area Meter Reading  Services, on the APY Lands.
* DMITRE supplies electricity to Pipalyatjara, Watarru, Amata, Murputja, Mimili, Kaltjiti (Fregon), Yunyarinyi (Kenmore Park), Watinuma, Kalka, Kanpi, Nyapari, Pukatja (Ernabella) and Umuwa communities.
* Primary responsibilities include Quarterly and Off-cycle meter reading; Routine quarterly meter readings and final reads of electricity meters in townships covered by the RAES Program in APY Lands.
* The RAES Program is seeking the services of suitably capable and experienced Power Support Service provider, for a 10-11 month contract ( Feb/March until 31 December 2014) to provide required services in the APY Lands.
