Tender Description
The Department for Manufacturing, Innovation, Trade, Resources and Energy (DMITRE) is seeking to explore options to install an integrated renewable energy-diesel hydrid generation power supply in Marree located in South Australia's far north region.
As robust designs providing highly reliable electricity is paramount in remote areas, proposals will need to demonstrate how reliablity will be maintained or improved along with meeting current quality of supply requirments. Proposals will need to detail the technologies and business models proposed including long term costs.
While the focus of this RFI is the remote area town of Marree, there is a possibility of utilising similar technologies in other remote area power stations owned/operated by the South Australian Government.
