Construction of Redlynch Reservoir Dedicated Inlet Main

⁠⁠⁠Cairns Regional Council Water & Waste hereby invites tenders for the Construction of Redlynch Reservoir Dedicated Inlet Main.

This contract is for the supply, delivery, installation and testing of approximately 4km of DN300 ductile iron cement lined (DICL) inlet water main to Redlynch Reservoir.

The majority of the main will be open trenched construction with approximately 100m to be DN400 polyethylene (PE) pipework installed by directional drilling.

The DN300 Redlynch reservoir dedicated inlet main connects to an existing DN225 water main at the Redlynch reservoir access road on Redlynch Intake Road. From the Redlynch Intake Road the alignment follows Rocks Road, turning north through the rear of the Pony Club property through to cane fields to the north. The water main then follows the tramline to connect to an existing DN375 water main at the north east corner of the St Andrew's Catholic College property.

Tenders are to be in a sealed envelope and endorsed "Contract No. 75391 – Construction of Redlynch Reservoir Dedicated Inlet Main" and shall be addressed to the undersigned and 2 hard copies lodged, posted or delivered by a recognised courier having a direct delivery service to the Council Chambers, 119-145 Spence Street, Cairns, so as to be received in the Tender Box before the closing time of 4.30pm on 28th January 2014. Tenders will not be opened publicly.

The lowest or any Tender will not necessarily be accepted.
