Supply of Hypoxic Fire Prevention Systems In Electrical Substations

⁠⁠⁠Transend Networks Pty Ltd owns and operates the electricity transmission system in Tasmania.

Transend transmits electricity from 29 power stations to substations around the State. The Company owns 3,500 kilometres of transmission lines, 49 substations and 8 switching stations.

Transend has conducted an extensive review of its overall fi re management strategies and has identified the use of hypoxic fi re prevention systems as the preferred method to reduce risk associated with fire in substation buildings.
